Its probably part of the AV program (which is also Beta) there to protect against the Exec.exe trojan. E Mail ezAntivirus Support and see what they say.

Niether have I but the google link flags it up as such. Had issues with MSAS Beta1 last year flagging up a trojan which was actually a false positive caused by Trojan Hunter & Spybot S&D signature files. If you say you got this file along with ezAV then its got to be part of ezAV. I can't check my Vista right now I am waiting for the latest version to DL, I had ezAV in the last version but I did not notice Exec.exe anywhere.

The authors of trojans prefer that you don't hear about them.

i only noticed it because the uap in vista keep asking if i wanted to allow it to run every 1 to 2 seconds whether i said yes or no it being able to run or not. i had to disable uap to get rid of the dialog. "jonah" wrote in message

Steve that looks suspicious, if its a signature file it should not wish to run. I never had this on my last Vista install with ez AV installed. See if you can send the file to ezAV to confirm what it is?
Could just be a bug or something legit but maybe it is malicious.

i ran the antivirus software and it was not detected by it. "jonah" wrote in message

i have media centre on my pc and downloaded vista beta 2 from microsoft to test out. I downloaded the 32 bit version and began the upgrade. after installing fine it took me to the start page with my name in a flower box, and it was then my mouse and keyboard would not work, the mouse would not move over the box for me to click it??
I have a logitech cordless keyboard and mouse and do not use the software on my pc and they connect automatically, should i install the software so that vista can recognize my keyboard and mouse?? As soon as I did the reformat and put media centre back my keyboard and mouse worked just fine
anyone else have this problem?? any advise??
